Our Projector Lamp

I have ordered a new lamp for our projector. Hopefully, it will be here in time for the meeting.

While researching the average lifespan of these lamps, I discovered they're only good for around 2000 hours.

Our lamp had 2199 hours (according to the on-screen counter) before it blew up some months back. The original owners, who shall remain nameless, weren't very good about turning these projectors off when they were not in-use, so I'm not surprised by the number of in-use hours.

However, I was quite surprised when the thing popped during the presentation! :)

Anyway, we should be back in business, this week.

Awesome! I still have a projector, if we need it. We can consider it a spare. :)

I received the lamp today, at work. I'll get it installed, tonight, and we'll see if it works. :)

Good news everyone!!!

I found another projector! It seems to work, but it's kinda old. I think it only works in 640 x 480.

I'll bring it just in case.

Good work, Dave! Never hurts to have a spare. I'm sure we could work around the 640x480 limitation, if it has one.

Anyway, I've installed the lamp and everything seems to be fine. I ran the projector for about half an hour with no issues.

The picture is very brilliant and looks excellent! It's like having a whole new projector. :)

640 x 480 it is!!!
I'll see about setting up a dedicated system that we can use for presentations.
