Slax rescue disk

Postby theTick197 » Mon Jul 30, 2007 9:57 am

I installed Slax onto a usb memory stick, and i want to know if it is possible to mount an ntfs file system and run something like ad aware or symantec from the usb stick with wine to scan and fix the windows partition. Or perhaps even a linux program that scans windows partitions for viruses?

(just thinking out loud) Ok, clamav scans for windows viruses (or is it viri?) in linux right? So i could add the clamav module to slax and use that to scan the windows partition. Or,(let me know if you think this would work), i could point wine to the directory where Norton AV is at and run it like that.
